Goreans have participated in previous years seperately and on different non-gorean teams. Last year was the first time we as a community entered a team. There were two teams that I am aware of and after getting a late and slow start we raised the above amount coming in 29 out of 87 teams. This year we are took number one out of the starting gate and raised a record amount in the first weekend. Last year most of the money came from the kiosk and the final days at the rally. Our hope this year is to get a head start and plan events throughout gor for the three months prior to the event. We changed our name this year in hopes to make it more clear. Many people and cities have come forward with ideas and enthusiasm. I would like to invite all of gor to participate by joining the Goreans in Relay for Life and help us plan and organize an army of goreans. Let us show the SL community our passion and strength through this event. If you have an idea would like to host an event or just particaipate please let us know. Here are the following things we have already discussed. Please add to the thread below your ideas if you would like to schedule an event for the upcoming months. Use the calendar and add to it.

Our opening parade was a success and a horrible failure. There were so many of us we crashed and many did not get to participate. Lessons learned is next year we get better and bigger sims. With all the technical difficulties we continued the enthusiasm and drive. The winners are announced on the web site.

The charity balls were lovely and we would like to plan them for half way point and finale and see if we can get more cities involved. Our weekend hit many cities kajirulia carnivals and they were unable to participate but we would like to try and do it with more cities. The winning cities and Kings and Queens are announced on the Web site. More merchants are coming forward with prizes.

The Jail and Bail got off to a resounding number of warrants. It will take us many weeks to get these all delivered.

The Clothing Fair started with many of our Gorean Merchants involved.

Kiosks got out in record time with very little issues. The vendors were quickly dispersed to the merchants and we see them all over. We hope to see more.

More and more sims are asking about events. We will meet with them to come up with some ideas. We have an events board and for sims to add their events to and we are trying to get them dispersed.

We will be posting as much as we can to the website and tell everyone you too can post. Please upload your photos. Make sure you are signing up your events and adding your stores to the Merchant pages.
